Eligibility

Applicants need to meet certain criteria and satisfy the requirements in order to get their RRV

  • Permanent Resident Status
    Applicant must either have held or holds a valid Australian permanent resident visa.

  • Residency Requirement
    Applicant must have spent a minimum of two years (730 days) in the last five years in Australia as a permanent resident or an eligible visa holder.

  • Substantial Ties
    Applicant must demonstrate their ongoing commitment to Australia. These ties could include business, cultural, personal or, employment ties that demonstrate your intention to maintain a connection to Australia.

  • Good Character
    Applicant must meet the character requirements set by the Department of Home Affairs. This involves providing police clearances from any country you have lived in for at least 12 months.The applicant should not have any outstanding debts to the Australian government.

  • Visa Conditions Compliance
    If applicant hold a permanent visa, they must have complied with the conditions attached to it.
