Australian Parents Visa

Parent Visa is a type of visa offered by Australia which allows parents of Australia citizens or permanent residents to live in Australia. Parent visa is designed to enable parents to reunite with their children who are settled in Australia.

There are different types of Parent visas available . They include:

  • Parent Visa (Subclass 103)

    This visa is for parents who are living outside Australia and want to join their child who is an Australian citizen and permanent resident. The processing time for this visa is generally long, and there is a cap on the number of visas granted each year

  • Contributory Parent Visa (Subclass 143)

    This visa requires a higher application fee but has a faster processing time compared to the subclass 103 visa. It is suitable for parents who are willing to make a higher financial contribution to the costs of their migration and have their visa processed more quickly

  • Contributory Aged Parent Visa (Subclass 864)

    This visa is similar to the subclass 143 visa but is specifically for aged parents who meet the age requirement

  • Contributory Parent (Temporary) Visa (Subclass 173) / Contributory Aged Parent (Temporary) Visa (Subclass 884)

    These temporary visas allow parents to reside in Australia for up to two years
